Commissioned to design and build this beautiful bespoke family kitchen, within a Georgian town house in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Mounts Hill’s brief was to respect this property’s heritage and grade II listing.
We chose shaker style cabinets made using solid European oak with bespoke panels, manufactured in-house, out of cluster oak veneer. Restricted by the room size and a large picture window, the design still incorporates plenty of storage, including an American fridge freezer, and a full height larder cabinet.
With our original brief in mind, a classic double Belfast sink was positioned symmetrically in front of the window. We matched the cornice to the ceiling detail and took inspiration from fire surrounds in other rooms when designing the large over mantle. To complete the period look we sourced antique solid brass beehive knobs and pull handles.
